Almost 3.3 million people of all ages volunteered their time, talents, and resources to assist The Salvation Army's work. Our volunteers are critical partners in helping us fulfill our promise to America of "Doing the Most Good."

If you’re ready to do something meaningful with a discernable impact, keep reading. The Salvation Army’s brand promise is to Do the Most Good(r) - and it’s our volunteers that help us get there. At every level and in every discipline, you can have a real impact on your community through the work done inside our walls every day. If you volunteer for us, you will be the hands and feet that enable us to help others.

We are as impassioned about our volunteers as we are about our mission to help anyone in need without discrimination. Our culture reflects this quality, which makes our stores seriously great places to work. Just walk inside our doors and you’ll quickly see that our volunteers are proud to support programs that make a difference.

Description

ADULT REHABILITATION

For over 100 years The Salvation Army’s Adult Rehabilitation Centers have provided spiritual, social, and emotional assistance for men and women who have lost the ability to cope with their problems and provide for themselves. Centers offers residential housing, work, and group and individual therapy, all in a clean, wholesome environment.

The physical and spiritual care that program participants receive prepares them to re-enter society and return to gainful employment. Many of those who have been rehabilitated are reunited with their families and resume a normal life.

Each program participant is provided with a clean and healthy living environment, good food, work therapy, leisure time activities, group and individual counseling, spiritual direction, and resources to develop life skills and a personal relationship with God as provided by Jesus Christ.

Since we do not solicit government funding for this program, the ARC program is made possible through the generosity of those who donate goods that can be sold in our family thrift stores and provide services that are made available to the participants of our programs.
