ORGANIZATION: Community Action Council

  • 1 person is interested

Community Action Council is looking for a volunteer to train/explain 2018 Tax preparation to 2018 Calendar year low-income, youth participants in a variety of CAC programs. Many of the youth participants are enrolled in more than one program and have received multiple stipends and incentives; requiring CAC to issue them a 1099. The majority of these youth have never receive a 1099 before.

We are looking for a volunteer with sufficient accounting and/or tax preparation experience to teach these low-income youth about the 1099, filing their taxes and what it means to them as low-income individuals. We anticipate only a handful of training sessions that can be arranged to accommodate both the volunteer's and the youth's schedules.
