The Ukulele Class Assistant helps the Ukulele Teacher with the Ukulele Class at the Biblioteca Latinoamericana. This includes set up and turning the ukuleles before
class and cleaning up after class. This may also include organizing the ukulele music binders.

Class times depend upon the ukulele teacher's schedule and your schedule.

Ukulele Class Assistants may substitute when the teacher is unavailable.

Requirements:
Ability to play the ukulele at intermediate level or higher.
Ability to teach children, teens and adults.

Fingerprint clearance required for volunteers ages 18 or over.

Description

Public libraries in California seek to engage the talents, skills and commitment of volunteers to serve the communities' information and literacy needs. Libraries offer a variety of skilled volunteer opportunities to make a meaningful contribution to library programs, operations, fundraising events and other community engagement functions. Skilled volunteers have opportunities to lead projects, work with teams of staff and volunteers, learn new skills, and have fun.
