I am very excited to tell you all about the new children's program Community Storehouse has developed, and ask for your help! School age children are now combating Covid slump as well as the typical summer slump, join our volunteer team to ensure their academic success this school year! The Tutoring Program is a free/no cost, individual tutoring opportunity for a limited number of children, in grades 1-5. The focus will be on grade-level skills for reading and mathematics. Volunteers must be 14 years of age or older, comfortable working one on one or in small groups with children, and have an up to date background check which includes a $12 fee. Please use the following links to obtain the background check before tutoring: 1. If you think your background check is up to date please email me and I will be happy to check for you. Tutoring will take place at Community Storehouse on Mondays - Thursdays, and Saturdays. It is our goal to grow this program into a year round opportunity, so please keep checking the sign up genius link for more dates/times. We are a nonprofit emergency relief agency that strives to provide for children in the Keller ISD and Northwest ISD school areas; including portions of Watauga, N. Richland Hills, Ft. Worth, Haltom City, Hurst, Westlake, Southlake, Colleyville, Haslet, Roanoke, Justin, Wise County and in the city of Keller with their basic needs. During times of crisis we intervene to accommodate the educational needs of children. These needs include but, are not limited to; reading programs, nutrition programs, and educational support programs.
