The Little Walnut Branch library is looking for volunteers to help children practice reading while the Victory Tutorial program takes place at the library. A Reading Buddy is a volunteer who will spend 30 minutes reading with a child to help increase reading confidence, vocabulary, fluency and understanding. The goal is to have the child read aloud to the volunteer, although the volunteer may also spend time reading.
Current needs:
Little Walnut Branch | 835 W Rundberg Ln
- Monday 4pm-8pm | 5 volunteers needed for a weekly 2 hour shift
