PLEASE NOTE: Pima College is physically closed and all volunteering will be virtual. YOU MUST BE LOCATED IN TUCSON, AZ DUE TO BACKGROUND CHECK REQUIREMENTS.

Overview: Tutor adults learning English. English ability will vary.

Details:

  • Meet once a week for 60-90 minutes with students
  • Work on speaking, pronunciation, sentence formation, real life scenarios
  • Practice conversation skills

Pima College Adult Basic Education for College and Career (ABECC) Mission: We meet every adult learner where they are, honor their strengths and support them to their goals.

We offer free, non-credit high school equivalency classes, English language classes, career contextualized instruction, and citizenship preparation classes.

Volunteers are essential to fulfilling our mission and we welcome inquiries from community members who want to help the thousands of adult students we serve each year.
