ROAR is a body safety program for children ages 4-8. A volunteer is needed to help do a short lesson in schools to children to help them learn and understand that they are in control of their own body and feelings. This is perfect for volunteers in the education field and are wanting to make a difference. The program has a 98% success rate in which children have gained a better understanding about their own personal boundaries.

Description
Child Advocacy Center of Oklahoma County. A task force was formed in 1991 to bring this model of child advocacy to Oklahoma. We work as part of a multidisciplinary team to help the child/family get healing , resources, and justice. Our services include Forensic Interviews, Family Advocacy, Medical Exams, Referral Services, ROAR Abuse Prevention Training for children as well as Recognizing and Reporting Abuse for adults. In 2017 we served 1964 children and 1623 adults. At The Care Center we are committed to preventing child abuse through education and helping children find their voice and heal after abuse.
