Increase your experience of planning events and have a great time with our Events Committee, as we work together to plan and execute our annual events. We have a dog walk, Walk n Wag; a kids concert and fair, Parkadilly; an overnight campout with activities, Camp S'more; and a Holiday Party (this year with a lighted people parade). We are also looking for new ideas of events to put on - all with the goal of supporting our beautiful Lake Sammamish State Park.
Do you like party planning and fund raising? Join the committee to share your skills, or learn alongside others! We generally meet on Wednesday mornings at 9:30a.

Mission Statement
The Mission of Friends is to support, enhance and promote Lake Sammamish State Park ("Park"). Friends works in support of and in cooperation with the Washington State Parks Commission to create, maintain, and celebrate a highly successful park, including: Promotion of and/or advocacy for: • Implementation of improvements, consistent with the Park’s Redevelopment and Restoration Concept Plan or most current Park master plan, • A wide variety of year-round uses, current and new, • Active and passive education opportunities--historical, environmental, and cultural, etc., • Park events, • Broad community involvement and investment, • Donations and sponsorships, and • Volunteer efforts. Improving and/or Expanding: • Park visitation, • Conditions of the grounds and amenities, • Visitor experiences, • Environmental conditions and natural resources, • Park-generated revenue • Recreation opportunities, and • Communication with the local and regional community.
