The Fairfield PAL Center is recruiting volunteers to lead card games on Fridays nights in October and November. The ideal candidate would love card games (poker, blackjack, Texas Hold'em, Uno, War, etc) and be able to offer tips and explanations to teach members who aren't familiar with the games how to play.
Games are played on Friday nights between 6pm and 9pm.
Deal visors and snacks are provided!
There is a short applicant process (including fingerprinting) required to volunteer at the center for anyone 18 years of age and older. All costs are paid for by the PAL program and the process generally takes about 15- 20 minutes per applicant. All volunteers must agree to become mandated reporters and pass a local background check administered by the Fairfield Police Department.
The Fairfield PAL Program is open to Fairfield, Suisun, and Travis Students enrolled in grades seven through twelve. Memberships are $10 per year and can be purchased at the Fairfield Community Center (1000 Kentucky Street) Mon-Thursday between 11:30-5:30pm. The PAL Center is located at 2195 Union Ave in Fairfield.
