ORGANIZATION: Butterfly Pavilion

We have exciting news! Butterfly Pavilion is helping to register volunteers to begin plantings for the Colorado I-76 Pollinator Highway project. This C-DOT pilot project will build awareness and increase desirable pollinator habitat within the highway right-of-way. Butterfly Pavilion is partnering with People and Pollinators Action Network and C-DOT to register volunteers to begin planting the Pollinator Highway!

POLLINATOR HIGHWAY PLANTING VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:

  • Dates: Fri, Oct 26 and/or Sat, Oct 27, 2018.
  • Location: Julesburg Colorado Welcome Center, 20934 Co Rd 28, Julesburg, CO 80737.
  • Time: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm each day
  • Requirements: Volunteers must be at 18 years of age to participate.
  • Transportation from Butterfly Pavilion provided (see below)
  • Lunch provided!

TRANSPORTATION FROM BUTTERFLY PAVILION:

Transportation will be provided by C-DOT. Buses will be meeting at Butterfly Pavilion (6252 W. 104 th Ave. Westminster, CO 80020) at 6:00am for a 6:30am departure and will return to Butterfly Pavilion around 6:30pm. Volunteers, we ask that you please park in the Butterfly Pavilion overflow parking lot, furthest from the building.

ARRIVAL & CHECK-IN:

If you are travelling to Julesburg on your own please meet the group at 9:00 am at the Colorado Welcome Center at Julesburg (20934 County Road 28, Julesburg, CO 80737). Make sure to check-out at the welcome center at the end of the day to receive a small gift!

WHAT TO WEAR & BRING:

Wear sturdy, closed toed shoes and weather-appropriate clothing. Please bring gloves if you have them (C-DOT will provide gloves, but this will ensure a good fit). We recommend a hat, dressing in layers, a rain jacket, sunscreen, water bottle and any snacks that you might want for the day. Lunch will be provided.
