This is the second of three primary roles in the Recorded Recreational Reading for the Blind, Inc. hierarchy of operations. This person would be the actual operating editor of "The West Valley Talking News." This would include maintaining the 'news magazine' format as established and the gradual implementation of changes to same to keep the publication 'fresh' but always in the general style as it exists. The editor would supervise, schedule and oversee all directors, readers, source clippers, collators and assemblers of the news and variety content in each issue. Experience background could vary but would necessarily need to contain some time of life spent in or near publishing and recording activities. This position would function under the direction of operating corporate officer(s) and administrator.

Description
RRRB, Inc has a long history of dedicated people that have built and continue to maintain its services. For more than 40 years, we have been evolving with the times and technologies. Subscribership, recorded materials and the volunteer base also continue to grow. 1971: A small group of volunteers begin tape recording local news for visually or physically challenged Sun City, Arizona residents. 1980: New studios completed on Lions Club property by the Del Webb Corporation and cassette recording operations are transferred from the Sun City Professional Building. 2006: Driven by new volunteers in a new technological era, the studios begin a gradual changeover to digital recording. 2010: All operations are digital and recording is fullly coordinated with the standards of NLS and the Library of Congress. 2012: Two additional recording booths are added make a total of three fully operational. 2016: Weekly news becomes a weekly news magazine now known as "The West Valley Talking News" and, late in the year, KRUVradiosun begins operations online as the dedicated "Voice of Valley Volunteers." The radio station features an eclectic musical playlist along with excerpted material from "The West Valley Talking News." It also features programs that tell the story of any and all (if possible) of the Maricopa "Valley of the Sun" volunteer-based agencies and services. 2018: Organizational growth continues with new volunteer job opportunities designed to support and enhance the services and purposes of RRRB, Inc.
