Do you have a passion for performing arts, fine arts or have an arts & crafts hobby? Join Ability Connection's after school program and share your talents to help improve the lives of youth with special needs.

Whether it be teaching creative arts, music or theater appreciation - there is an opportunity for a project that will not only suit your interests, but will provide you an opportunity to make a real and lasting contribution.

While volunteers are not required to have a background in art or education, volunteers with related education, qualifications or experience are highly sought after.

Sunset High School - Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4-6pm

Thomas Jefferson High School - Mondays and Wednesdays, 4-6pm

Kennedy Curry Middle School - Mondays and Wednesdays, 4-6pm

Ann Richards Middle School - Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4-6pm

Description

We serve over 700 individuals throughout the state of Texas with Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Autism, Asperger's, traumatic brain injuries, behavioral disorders, para/quadriplegia, as well as many other types of physical and mental disabilities--helping them to live to their fullest potential with independence and inclusion in community.

For over 60 years, we have been dedicated to delivering life changing healthcare, education, vocational training, independent living skills, and community inclusion for children and adults with disabilities.
