This incredible family art day takes place Sunday, October 7, 2018, from 11 AM to 3 PM at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica. You will be greeted by rows of art booths and endless art supplies as professional artists and teachers guide children through a rich array of exciting projects. Music fills the space as hundreds of children roam the booths exploring and making new friends. Dozens of L.A.’s top restaurants and caterers will fill the venue with signature treats for everyone to enjoy.
Express Yourself is an incredible way to experience the vast opportunities that P.S. ARTS is able to provide the thousands of students we serve in Los Angeles County and California’s Central Valley every day. All proceeds from the Express Yourself directly benefit our programs currently serving 25,000 children each week.
About P.S. ARTS:
P.S. ARTS is the only artists-in-residence program in Los Angeles that serves an entire school and seamlessly integrates Teaching Artists into the regular school day. As we gear up for another school year, we need your support to provide the quality arts programs 25,000 students have been anticipating all summer. They are ready to get back to the singing, dancing and creating opportunities that only P.S. ARTS provides.

Mission Statement
P.S. ARTS’ mission is to improve the lives of children by providing arts education to underserved public schools and communities.
Description
P.S. ARTS is the only organization in Southern and Central California that provides yearlong arts education in dance, visual arts, music, and theater arts to every child in a school during the regular school day. Without our programs, children in these underfunded school districts would not have access to the arts. P.S. ARTS also coordinates with school administrators and parent groups to provide community outreach services designed to increase community members’ capacity to advocate for educational equity and to provide critical cultural experiences for the entire family. P.S. ARTS arts programs help to level the educational playing field by teaching creative and cognitive skills to students struggling to overcome economic, ability, or literacy barriers that will better equip them to be competitive and successful people.
