This volunteer experience provides hands-on experience for individuals to develop their knowledge on exercise science, physiology, types of paralysis, and research studies. We currently have four adaptive exercise specialists with extensive exercise science, physiology, and nutrition knowledge and we are looking for people who are dedicated to assisting these trainers. NeuAbility offers a safe, high-intensity program designed to promote overall wellness & quality of life for individuals affected by paralysis. Our Adaptive Exercise Specialists provide one-on-one, exercise-based programs tailored to meet individual needs for participants of any age, appropriate during any stage of rehabilitation. This comprehensive, total-body program empowers participants to maximize their strength, confidence, and independence. As a volunteer you will be:

  • Assisting primary adaptive exercise specialist and clients throughout workouts
  • Assisting in lifting and transferring participants
  • Assisting participants with functional electrical stimulation (FES) gait cycle setups
  • Helping set-up and assist with exercises
  • Potentially helping with outreach and fundraising events.

NeuAbility is a comprehensive wellness center in Denver, CO that offers a suite of progressive, movement-based programs for individuals living with paralysis.
Whether it be a personalized, attentive session with one of our adaptive exercise specialists or indulging in massage therapy, acupuncture and chiropractic with our skilled professionals: you’re sure to see your quality of life improve drastically by participating in our programs.
NeuAbility serves the broad paralysis community. Communities served include: Paraplegia, Quadriplegia, Spinal Cord Injury, Spina Bifida, Multiple Sclerosis, Stroke, Cerebral Palsy, Auto Immune Disease, NMO and TBI.
