Hospice volunteers are truly compassionate people. They generously give of their time to patients who are at the end of their lives. They also help hospice organizations run smoothly by completing administrative tasks. Hospice volunteers play an critical part of every hospice organization.

Many volunteers say that hospice gives them a deeper appreciation for life. They say they are less likely to get upset about small annoyances, like traffic jams, or long lines, because they feel a deep sense of satisfaction from being able to help someone at the end of their life; that it makes them feel they are making a significant contribution on their community. Hospice volunteers also get to make a deeper connection with our patients and their families.
