We are looking for 2 volunteers for each area of OTR, Northside and the Clifton Business District (working together to cover the whole territory, or separately, splitting up the work) to hang about 15 in downtown Cincinnati (in the front windows or community bulletin boards of businesses that will allow it and on public bulletin boards in the neighborhood) on Vine Street and Main Street, just north of Central Parkway, and also the area surrounding (and in?) Washington Park. We will provide the posters and scotch tape.
We ask that every poster that is hung gets photographed digitally (for example, with an iPhone) and sent (with info about the location) back to us via text message so that we can use the images as part of our online marketing for the show. We will also ask that each volunteer listen to an explanation of what True Theatre is and what the show advertised on the poster is about, so they can talk knowledgeably to store owners and others they may encounter while hanging the posters.
Volunteers will each receive a free ticket to our upcoming storytelling show on April 25 at Memorial Hall (7:30pm). You will be included in our "Special Thanks" list for the January show. Description
True Theatre has been around since 2010. In 89seasons, True Theatre has produced 46 evenings of storytelling, featuring over 200 stories by nearly-that-many unique voices. Time and again, we have witnessed how the simple sharing of a story breaks down walls and builds bridges between people. We not only produce the storytelling events, we also curate the stories and coach the tellers. Our stage has featured storytellers from 12 to 92, covering a generous spread of diverse cultures, backgrounds, races, identities, and preferences. We are a small organization the has touched hundreds of lives and has big dreams!

- May need transportation. Must dress neatly and be polite to store owners (etc.). while volunteering. We're looking for people at ease in social situations. This is actually a fun job getting to meet store owners in OTR, Clifton and Northside.
