Looking for an individual to handle the technical side of recording, editing, and posting a regular podcast audio recording we would like start regarding homelessness. The podcast will be approximately once a month, but could go to twice a month if it becomes successful. We have a macintosh laptop with garage band software for the recording. We are open to using your software/hardware if you prefer.

Pastor John at Prince of Peace will be doing the actual speaking/interviewing and will arrange for the homeless person to be interviewed each podcast. You (the volunteer) will not have to be worry about the topic, interview candidate or discussion questions. Although your input is most welcome. Your (the volunteer) duties are to handle the technical side of the podcast.

Overview
The Goal of the proposed podcasts is to give the listener an understanding of the many issues and factors in being homeless or living in poverty in downtown Cincinnati (Over-the-Rhine).

For many people that have never experienced it, they are unaware of the complexities that are presented to people living in poverty and are homeless. Having served this community since 2001, I have been humbled and enriched by the many individuals that I have had the pleasure of coming into contact with. There are countless stories of people I’ve meet in the church, on the streets, in our winter/cold shelter, through Welcome Home Collaborative, under a bridge, in a homeless camp, in the alleys, in a doorway and so on. Incredible individuals that bear the fruits of the Holy Spirit in spite of their environment continually surprise me. Even in such dire straits, individuals have demonstrated patience, courage, self-control, love, peace, and incredible faith.
