The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Light The Night
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is the world's largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research and providing education and patient services. Since its founding in 1949, the Society has invested more than $424 million in research specifically targeting leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's LIGHT THE NIGHT Walk is an annual celebration and commemoration of lives touched by cancer. The walk is held in communities across the continent. Participants raise funds for cancer research and services that prolong and enhance the lives of people battling cancer. Our achievements were made in part by people who volunteered and participated in events like LIGHT THE NIGHT.
Still much needs to be done to advance our mission. That's why we're asking for your help!
Volunteering at the Light The Night Walk, is a fun and memorable evening walk that raises money for blood cancer research and patient services.

Mission Statement
The mission of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. We work tirelessly to find cures and ensure patients can access the lifesaving treatments they need. When someone experiences the fear and uncertainty of a blood cancer diagnosis, we provide hope, compassion, education and support. Our impact is felt beyond blood cancer. The breakthrough treatments we helped advance for blood cancers are now improving the lives of people affected by many types of cancer.
Description
Volunteers are our partners in the crusade to end cancer. In 2017, LLS volunteers made a significant impact while selflessly dedicating their time and talent to achieve our mission. With countless ways to engage, from fundraising to providing patient support, our volunteers are changing the landscape of cancer.
