Playworks Run for Recess fun run is a family-friendly race. Runners will participate in the race to provide the opportunity to bring safe, healthy play to more than 16,000 children in low-income elementary schools across Silicon Valley. All participants will enjoy a fun, family environment, and an awesome goodie bag. Awards will be presented to the top finishers, as well as certificates for all age and gender categories. There will be games before and after the race with signature Playworks activities.
We are looking for enthusiastic and positive volunteers who can help us cheer on participants, provide directions, operate our route checkpoints, help facilitate games, and support the registration process. We are also looking for a photographer. Bring your family and join the fun!

We create a place for every kid on the playground to feel included, be active, and build valuable social and emotional skills. We partner with schools, districts, and after-school programs to provide a service or mix of services including on-site coaches, professional training for school staff who support recess, and consultative partnerships.
Playworks currently serves more than 1,200 schools in 23 regions across the United States and reaches more than 700,000 students directly and through professional training services
