We need someone who can help us fill our ranks! Every year, students, volunteers, and members leave after graduation. This means we have to keep restarting our business through ongoing recruitment. Please let us know if you can help!

Responsibilities

  • Recruits for well-qualified candidates from a variety of sources, manages the selection process to include writing job postings, and posts on various job boards.
  • Scheduling and performing interviews, assessing candidates, and filling the staffing/volunteer needs within our service and performance criteria.
  • Establishes recruitment strategies and procedures to target top talent through various sourcing.
  • Develop recruitment plan to meet our service needs and lead the organization in developing the goals for the volunteer/employee recruitment program.
  • Prepares recruitment reports and brings forward issues when recruitment goals are not being met.
  • Establish and maintain ongoing relationships with hiring managers, local agencies, universities and other recruiting agencies.
  • Develops marketing techniques to enhance our recruitment effort.
  • Tracking recruitment efforts to include time to fill and expense, and recommending the annual recruitment budget.
  • Attends career job fairs, recruitment roundtables, and other job recruiting forums.
  • Notifies applicants of consideration and rejection and prepares job offers and notifies hiring manager when job offers have been accepted.
  • In conjunction with the HR Manager, conducts supervisor training on recruitment process and good interviewing practices.
  • Coaches supervisors on hiring procedures throughout the process.
  • Informs candidates of all aspects of job, including job requirements, compensation and benefits, and onboarding process.
Education and Certification:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources management or business related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working on Bachelor's Degree (Juniors and Seniors Only)
Knowledge and experience:
  • 1 year of experience managing full cycle recruitment from requisition to hire
  • Experience working in a setting and/or not-for-profit setting preferred

  • Ability to handle medium volume recruiting needs.
  • Working knowledge and experience with job boards and websites and recruitment and selection programs and software
  • Acceptance and consistent application of the confidential and professional nature of the position and work of the department.
  • Proactive, problem-solving approach to identifying, addressing, and resolving issues that may arise relating to recruitment and selection and the day to day operation of the volunteer program..
  • Understanding of and demonstrated experience with state and federal labor laws and regulations
  • Strong work ethic and high level of integrity.
  • Strong, presentation, consulting and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and successfully meet deadlines
  • Excellent problem-solving, conflict resolution skills, negotiations and analytical skills.
  • Flexible, innovative, detail-oriented and well organized.
  • Proficient in the MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Must be self directed and have the ability to effectively manage shifting and multiple priorities in a fast paced, growth environment.

Physical Demands:

  • Sitting, walking, and standing associated with a normal medical/clinical office environment.
  • Regular bending and stretching; and lifting.
  • Manual dexterity used to include, but not limited to, standard office equipment, and computer keyboard.
  • Occasional travel to work sites including some exposure to outside elements.
  • Presenting information in front of a group.
Time-Requirement
  • 10-20 Hours a week or weekends
  • Meetup once a week to present progress reports

Experience:

  • Microsoft Word: 1 year (Required)
  • Microsoft Office: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Recruiting: 3 years (Required)
