ORGANIZATION: College Potatoes Inc

We need someone who can train the new volunteers about our culture and their responsibilities. Volunteers need training in the areas of media, sales, fundraising, and development. IT specialists may need training on the hazardous metals and materials inside computers before they are allowed to fix anything.

Your job will be to ultimately instill feelings of loyalty, excitement, motivation, and competition into new volunteers.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and assess our training needs.
  • Meet supervisors to ascertain needs.
  • Conduct surveys.
  • Train volunteers or employees for specific jobs.
  • Develop, organize, conduct and evaluate training programs.
  • Create teaching materials.
  • Teach skills such as computer applications, phone systems, product assembly, policies and procedures, and inventory planning.
  • Direct structured learning experiences.
  • Hold meetings and presentations on learning material.
  • Create learning literature.
  • Plan, organize, and implement a range of training activities.
  • Train new volunteers, hires, and veterans.
  • Conduct orientation sessions to assess level of skills.
  • Help volunteers improve upon or enhance existing skills.
  • Develop programs that groom lower-level employees for executive positions.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness.
  • Modify training programs.
  • Design apprenticeship and intern programs.
  • Create monitored simulations and problem-solving scenarios.
  • Create interactive multimedia presentations.
  • Hold workshops and lectures.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree for Human Resources
  • Interning for a Bachelor's degree (Juniors and Seniors Only)
  • Hours: 10-20 hours or Weekends
