Promote science and volunteer at a chemistry conference

As a volunteer at the Southeastern Regional Meeting of the American Chemical Society (SERMACS), you will help with various tasks around the conference. The volunteering opportunities can be for a short term (2 hour) commitment or all day. Volunteer needs include
1) Helping with the registration table
2) Greeting conference attendees and helping with general directions
3) Wearing a mole mascot costume (candidate must be 5'7"-5'10" in height and weigh between 165-200 pounds)
4) Helping mascot navigate around conference and taking photos
5)Setting up and decorating for networking exhibition
4) Assisting with hands-on chemistry outreach demonstrations
Volunteers can sign up to help with multiple tasks and we can work around your availability.

The Savannah River Section of the American Chemical Society is committed to community outreach, promoting science education, leadership development, and social interaction for chemists and aspiring chemists in the Central Savannah River Area of Georgia and South Carolina.
