Hunger Free America sends out an annual survey to over 700 soup kitchens and food pantries in New York City to assess how hunger in the city changes from year to year and what additional resources they might need. We need volunteers to assist in executing the survey, make follow-up phone calls with these organizations to encourage them to complete the survey, and offer to go through the questions together on the phone, as well as enter data into survey software.
Our office is conveniently located in downtown Manhattan, near multiple train lines. Come by after work and help with Hunger Free America's biggest data gathering event of the year and the results guide our work forward for the following year! Your time and help are critical to our success!
Multiple dates and times are available on Hunger Volunteer!

Description
HUNGER FREE AMERICA (formerly known as the New York City Coalition Against Hunger) is a national nonprofit group building a nonpartisan, grass-roots membership movement to enact the policies and programs needed to end domestic hunger and ensure that all Americans have sufficient access to nutritious food.
Our long-term goal is not just to ameliorate the problem, but also to build the people’s movement necessary to enact the economic and public policies needed to end hunger entirely. Given that hunger drains our economy and tears at our moral and civic fabric, we know that eliminating it will boost the nation both economically and spiritually. Towards that end, we’ve adopted the motto: "Ending hunger lifts us all."
