We are looking for 8 - 10 volunteers to come out and help restore the habitat of the endangered mint plant populations. No experience is required, we will train everyone on site on.
If you are interested in helping, please email cpeterson@boktower.org to learn more.
Description: One of the rarest plant species in the world, Lakela’s Mint is found only along a three-mile stretch of the Atlantic Coastal Ridge in north Fort Pierce and Vero Beach. We will be hand pulling grasses, vines, invasive species, and clear overgrowth of shrubs to restore habitat quality the mint depends on.
