Have a big milestone coming up? Celebrate it by creating a home. Whether it is a birthday, in memoriam, a wedding shower, or a corporate team building experience - it is win-win-win experience for all involved. Not only does it afford a "home" and an immeasurable amount of love and hope to the recipient, but a life changing experience for all involved, while off-setting the cost of the home creation for ASOH. 2 hour on-site time commitment.

  • You create your own team to create a home and you sponsor a home creation.
  • Many corporations seize upon this as a team building opportunity.
    • You schedule your home creation date on a Friday or Saturday and it commences at 11am.
    • Your team arrives at 11am and you complete the home creation within 90 minutes. Lunch & refreshments provided. Allow an extra 30 minutes for mingling.

Mission Statement

A Sense of Home (ASOH) creates first homes for youth who age out of the foster care system by bringing together virtually every segment of the community in doing social good while deriving great value in return.

Description

We host home creations up to 3 times per week. Home creations are a 90-minute team building event for large corporations, families, friends, or service organizations. A Sense of Home provides all furniture and decor and the volunteer team helps put together a new home for the aged out foster youth. Once the creation is over, the recipient who lives at the home comes back for the reveal.

We also need volunteer teams for our warehouse. We get new donations every week and need help unboxing, creating home decor kits, and organizing children's items!
