Instructor needed for Girls Who Code: Introduce girls to game and other types of basic coding!

This Quarterly class in the computer lab of the Delridge Community Center is a great way to engage young people, particularly girls, in learning a new computer language.

We work with each volunteer to ensure that the opportunity is one that fits both the community’s needs and your personal passion for any aspect of technology. As a volunteer with the Associated Recreation Council through Seattle Parks and Recreation, you must have the ability to engage with a diverse group of people of all ages and constructively aid in the management of a classroom of students. You will always have the support of a RecTech site lead and access to our RecTech Field Supervisor. Creativity, patience, teamwork, and a love of teaching are ideal qualifications.

Each volunteer is required to attend a two-hour meeting and training session before beginning your volunteer work. We ask that you commit to engaging with our team, bringing your excitement for technology, and showing a passion for building up our communities. Thank you for your interest in ARC RecTech programs.
