DHD is a women empowerment nonprofit that utilizes the arts, beauty and education addressing self esteem and self worth. We facilitate workshops, community events, and connections to resources to equip women in being successful in their journey. We show love, encouragement, and inspiration to women in the community while reminding them they they are beautiful and significant in this world. Our motto is "an empowered woman can conquer any obstacle".
We are looking for Volunteers (Lead Divateers) to donate 10-15 hours per month. You will be responsible for assisting our staff in event planning, donation solicitation, event coordination and execution, and administrative tasks.
Your time will be utilized both on and off site and may vary but not exceed 15 hours based on the needs of the organization.
We are looking for self motivations with good people skills that is flexible and wants to make an impact on the lives of women.

Divas Honoring Divas mission is to empower women utilizing art, beauty, and education encouraging them to make positive impacts on the community.
Description
Divas Honoring Divas, DHD, utilizes workshops, resource fairs, and networking and community events to carry out its mission. DHD was established in 2016 and served over 100 women in it's first year. Our goal is to empower women, reminding them they are a priceless and valued members of society, supporting them as they overcome hardships and obstacles of life, and encouraging them to pass on their testimony and experience to help someone else. We have several programs that embody our mission: Love tours, 2 hour interactive life skills workshop for patrons of transitional homes, homeless shelters, and support groups; Project Help MOM! a resource fair to connect the community to resources for kids k-12 in the areas of college prep/workforce readiness, mentoring/tutoring, and extra curricular; Diva's Crown a runway show to empower and build the confidence of women that have participated in our programs throughout the year; Christmas with Divas Gala a day of honor and pampering for single mothers, guardian grandmothers, and guardian aunts, known as DIVAS. Nominated DIVAS receive a full day of pampering and are the honored guests at the gala filled with live music, vendors, dinner and more. As the finally of the Gala DIVAS are given toys, clothes, house hold products and more for themselves and their children.
