The Hillsboro Police Domestic Violence Response Team (DVRT) provides 24/7 on-scene crisis support to victims of domestic violence. Through partnering with our patrol officers, DVRT volunteers are able to provides information and referrals to services, education about the criminal and civil justice process and safety planning for victims of domestic violence.
Requirement's:
- 18 years and older
- Commit at least one year to the program
- Available a minimum of three shifts a month - 8 hour each. 8am-4pm |4pm-12am | 12am-8am
- Successfully pass a background investigation
- Valid drivers license and access to a reliable and insured vehicle.
Due to COVID-19 volunteers are currently supporting and responding to calls over the phone. Responding on person is an option when restrictions are lifted and proper PPE (including N95 masks) is provided.

- 12:00 AM to 08:00 AM
- 08:00 AM to 04:00 PM
- 04:00 PM to 12:00 AM
