There are plenty of kids waiting to be matched with a big brother or big sister. Matches are made based on common interests, so all you have to do is be yourself to impact a child.
It only takes a few hours a week to make a difference in the life of a child.
Community-Based Mentoring Requirements:
Volunteer must be at least 18 years old
Commit to at least one year as a volunteer
Mentor a child between the ages of 6 and 14
There are currently more than 85 boys and girls waiting to be matched with a big brother or big sister in Erie County.
No additional volunteer opportunities at this time.

History: For more than 100 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters has operated under the belief that every child has the ability to succeed and thrive in life. As the nation’s largest donor and volunteer supported mentoring network, Big Brothers Big Sisters makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers ("Bigs") and children ("Littles"), ages 6 through 18, in communities across the country. We develop positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people.
