The Healthy Brain Expo will be hosted at Laguna Woods Village on Saturday, October 13 th from 10 am to 2 pm. The main goal is to promote brain health and present the local resources that are available (12 exhibitors will be participating). We have 3 speakers lined up for that day to talk about brain health: a neurologist, a nutritionist and a pharmacist. Guests will have the possibility to get their memory checked, as well as take a "Virtual Dementia Tour". Admission is free, prizes will be raffled off, and a lunch is provided.

This will be the 3 rd Healthy Brain Expo organized by AFC. The first 2 were hosted at the center in Huntington Beach.

We are looking for support from volunteers to assist with various positions including the ones listed below. Please contact me, rczerny@afscenter.org or 714-593-1876, if you are interested in helping out.

Registration: (5 volunteers + 2 volunteers for survey)

• Assist attendees with registering for the fair.
• Have two people with clipboards help people register in line and ask how they heard about the fair.

• Assist speakers with any concerns.
• Assist people into their chairs.
• Make sure that the microphone and equipment is properly working.

• Walk around the premises and help attendees with any concerns (directions to bathroom, activities, etc.).
• Collect completed passports for the upcoming raffles.

Memory Checkup Escorts: (6 volunteers + 1 at the door to prevent people from going to the Memory Checkup area)

• Lead memory checkup participants to their designated table.

Virtual Dementia Tour Escort: (1 volunteer)

• Lead VDT participants from the staging area to the demonstration. Make sure participants have all equipment they need.

• Help set up the exhibitor hall the day before the festival.
• Take out all dining room tables and set-up the exhibitor tables.
• Potentially help vendors set-up and unload.
• At the conclusion of the festival, take down the exhibitor tables and pick up any leftover trash.
• Bring back the dining room tables for set-up.

Volunteers get a free lunch and a T-Shirt.
