The Berrien County Parks Department is looking for a few volunteers to work the Electronics Recycling Collection. Volunteers will greet participants, direct traffic, unload electronics from participants' vehicles, separate out the electronics into proper boxes, flatten cardboard boxes, etc.
Volunteers will work alongside the staff from Green Earth Electronics Recycling. The Crew from Green Earth will instruct volunteers on what to do, as well as assist with heavy items. Volunteers should be able to lift and carry at least 25 pounds. Please bring a good pair of work gloves. Gloves will also be provided, if needed.
The event is open to the public from 8 a.m. - 12 Noon. We welcome volunteers to work either a 2 hour shift, or the whole event, 4 hours. Volunteers are asked to arrive a few minutes before the shift so that instructions can be given.
