Overview of role;

A climate change mitigation officer's overall responsibilities include developing and implementing plans, guidelines, and programs to cut greenhouse gas emissions, encourage the use of renewable energy sources, promote sustainable lifestyles, and increase public knowledge of climate change mitigation strategies in organizations and communities.

Responsibilities

  1. Work closely with communities to raise awareness about climate change, its impacts, and the importance of mitigation efforts.
  2. Provide training and capacity-building support to local stakeholders to strengthen their ability to implement climate mitigation measures.
  3. Manage and coordinate climate mitigation projects
  4. Promote conservation and sustainable management of natural resources, such as forests, water, and land, as part of climate mitigation strategies.
  5. Mobilize resources to scale the environment and climate change mitigation

ELOI Ministries is non-profit making organisation that runs technical and vocational training centres, medical missions, bible colleges, orphanage centres, worship centres, schools of ministry, libraries, crusades, seminars, conferences and mobile clinics.
