ORGANIZATION: Walnut Creek Village - Community Initiatives


The Operations Team Leader manages the infrastructure of Walnut Creek Village guided by the business and strategic plans.

Location of Work

WCV uses a "Virtual Office" for operations. The Operations Team Leader will work at home or other location of his/her choice. The Operations Team Leader will attend meetings and events in the Walnut Creek area.

Responsibilities
  • Managing and maintaining office policies and procedures
  • Managing Human Resources
  • Managing all service requests from members
  • Managing technology used in the virtual office
Benefits

The Operations Team Leaderhas a key role in launching the Village and sustaining its operation. The Village exists for the benefit of members. The Operations Team Leader defines the service levels provided to members and ensures that they are met. This is an opportunity to create an outstanding support resource for members.

Walnut Creek Village's mission is to support our choice to live independently in our own homes, safely, happily and healthfully, by connecting us with the social, practical and professional assistance we may need now or in the future.

Description

As we age, we need strong social connections. Walnut Creek Village is a community within a community led by older adults who share their skills, support, and expertise with each other to navigate the challenges and opportunities of aging. We offer members the resources and connections to explore and make choices for how to live meaningfully now and into their future. The Village provides needed services such as transportation, home maintenance and repair and tech support, a well as referrals to screened professional service providers.

Walnut Creek Village opened on September 25, 2017. We partner with other local Villages such as Lamorinda, and Clayton Valley, to pool resources for finding preferred providers, co-hosting events and exchanging operational information.
