Volunteers for our Food Distribution commit to 1 hour each week, doing work like: picking up and drop off donations. Having your own vehicle and insurance are required. Being able to functionally use a cell phone and phone camera are also required.
Usually takes an hour or less time can be scheduled between 9am-4pm.
Volunteers will need the following:
-Be able to utilize messaging and photo apps on a cell phone easily.
-Be able to take direction
-To be able to pass a background check
-Have the ability to volunteer sober (not under the influence of any brain altering substance)
-Have their own medical insurance
-Have a driver's license
-Have a interview with Lemondrop's Regional Director
-Willing and able to dedicate 1-2 hours per week of time to volunteering.
What we need are people who will be willing to go to local businesses and pick up donations of day old bread, or other edible foods, and deliver it directly to local established Help Shelf boxes located around the city.
More details will be provided once a potential volunteer passes the background check and volunteer application has been approved.
Please message us here, send an email or text (via social media) if you’re interested in joining our community family of Volunteers. We will provide you the link to our digital volunteer application.

Description
Please visit our website for more information, FAQ's and details about some of our resident animals. Lemondrop is 100% NO KILL. All donations made are tax deductible under FEIN 45-277-6445 as a Federal Tax Exempt NonProfit. All donations go directly toward keeping our doors open and programs running, none of our staff or Volunteers take a paycheck or salary and none of the donations go toward marketing. At our Farm Sanctuary, we host over 100 resident farm animals, dogs, cats and exotic birds who have found permanent sanctuary with us and our Volunteers. They remain with us for the rest of their natural lives in a safe, comfortable environment.
At our Community Outreach we provide food, clothing and household items directly to more than 1000 people in need each week at our Tallahassee area distribution alone. We estimate that we reach around 150-300 people at our California location each week.
We operate in Florida, Georgia and California (Farm Sanctuary and headquarters are located solely in Florida).
