Client-member Relations and Operations volunteer would assist with front desk activities on greeting clients, checking them in for their appointments, preparations for acupuncture clinic days, chiropractic day, and other wellness services. Duties would also include scheduling or reminding them of their next appointments, updating client database, social activities preparations, answering phones, referring callers to appropriates resources, and to staff.

Volunteer should possess a great cheerful personality, ability to handle multiple activities/clients, professional, Microsoft office word and excel competency. Spanish is most useful for many client-members. Clients are long-term survivors and newly diagnosed, some suffering with depression, anxiety or other mental health issues. Volunteers with empathy and compassion are most desirable for this rewarding experience of working with marginalized communities of disparities, communities of color and the socio-economic poor communities. Clients are most grateful for the culture, help, ethos and staff of Being Alive LA. All services provided at Being Alive use the "Shanti" model of no judgment, with empathy and compassion.

Volunteers may select days and times of availability. Volunteers are also entitled to free acupuncture, chiropractic and hypnotherapy services when open appointment slots are available. Additionally, volunteers may participate in social events, theatre and music events (when tickets are available), and many other services available to clients-members.

Business hours are Monday to Friday 10am to 6pm. Volunteer shifts available are

Monday: 10am to 3pm and 12pm to 5pm
Tuesday: 10am to 4pm
Wednesday: 10am to 3pm and 12pm to 5pm
Thursday: 10am to 4pm
Friday: 10am to 3pm and 12pm to 5pm
