It has been an exciting year for FLCAS! We started last fall with a nearly empty bank account, and now we're in a place where we can really help some shelter animals!
When our president signed on, she promised to dedicate one year to leading this organization. She did so, even though it meant putting her own fledgling nonprofit, which focuses on things she cares deeply about, on hold. That year is almost up and she is excited about the prospect of picking up where she left off, and turning over the reigns of FLCAS to someone who is well versed in fundraising and program development.
The truth is, our current president has never led a nonprofit before. She is in a place now where she knows there is much to be done to make FLCAS successful and sustainable, and she also knows that the best person to get us there is not her.
If you have the experience and the drive to take us to the next level, we want to hear from you! We, the shelter staff, and the animals need you, and look forward to working with you!

Mission Statement
The Friends of Loudoun County Animal Services is a nonprofit, independent animal welfare organization dedicated to raising funds for, and providing support to, the animals and programs of Loudoun County Animal Services (LCAS).
Description
LCAS is a progressive shelter that is dedicated to providing services geared towards helping the community and pets in need, and finding homes for every adoptable pet that comes through their doors. The shelter and the staff are a valuable resource to the community, and we are so proud of the work they do!
The shelter's budget, provided by county, covers basic medical treatment for the pets in their care, but the cost of veterinary services is rising. Our purpose is to raise funds that will ease the burden of those costs, and allow the shelter to provide a higher level of care to those animals who need it.
You can join us in our mission to support LCAS! Whether you volunteer, or donate, or both, your support will help us grow and aid the shelter in expanding its programs. The work you do will be rewarding, and you can take pride in knowing your efforts are benefiting hundreds of lives each year!
