As The Good Neighbor Center grows, we are in need of more volunteers to better serve our young people. We hold programming from 6:30pm-8:30pm every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evening, with a meal served to participants and volunteers from 6:30-7pm. We generally do a lot of homework help, as well as activities that encourage learning and literacy, and we have a multitude of resources that are available for use with the young people. Our program goes year-round! Especially in the summer, we are in need of volunteers to help our young people combat the summer learning loss that can happen without opportunities for academic enrichment in the summer. Summer is typically a busy time for people, however our young people benefit greatly from the time our volunteers spend with them. Our program has very flexible drop-in scheduling, and evening programming is great for those with work during the day. Come check us out and make a difference in your community! All are welcome here.
