HELP is a program that provides interventions that address the special needs of geriatric patients aged 70 and older who are hospitalized for greater than two nights. It helps to prevent delirium and functional decline in patients.
Duties include:
- Socializing with patients and family members
- Cognitive stimulation through puzzles and games
- Providing larger print reading materials and music
- Assisting with meals
