ORGANIZATION: PUEBLO ZOOLOGICAL SOCIETY

Volunteers welcome and assist visitors in finding exhibits and special activities sharing information about the daily schedule and actively contributing to a positive guest experience. Using ambassador animals, biofacts and other teaching aids, they engage visitors in dialogue communicating key messages regarding species information and conservation efforts. Ambassadors will assist with special zoo events supporting staff members, directing visitors and delivering exceptional customer service.

Description

Open all year, 7 days a week. Home to more than 400 animals and 120 species including guest favorites: lions, playful otters and penguins. Visitors enjoy exotic and colorful habitats, plus lush gardens and educational exhibits. Establish in 1934, the Pueblo Zoo features some of the best examples of local historic architecture and is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA).
