The Alzheimer's Association Oregon & SW Washington Chapter is seeking volunteers in Eastern Oregon for our Healthcare Professional Outreach Program.
Alzheimer’s Association and Program Overview: The Alzheimer’s Association is the leading nonprofit funder of Alzheimer’s disease research. Our chapter provides free services to individuals affected by dementia, their caregivers and the community. We offer support groups, caregiver training, and early-stage engagement programs.
The Healthcare Professional (HCP) Outreach Program seeks to build relationships with healthcare providers, provide education about the importance of early detection and diagnosis, and increase referrals to the Association.
Overview of Volunteer Role: The primary role of the HCP Outreach volunteer will be to conduct outreach to healthcare professionals in Eastern Oregon by providing these professionals with Association information and referral options. Additionally, the volunteer will strengthen existing relationships and help establish new partnerships with healthcare professionals. The volunteer will work closely with the Healthcare Professional Outreach program manager to set goals and priorities.
Volunteer Attributes: Interest in the cause, organized, good time-management skills, able to work independently, professional, able to take initiative, problem-solver, strategic thinker, excellent written and verbal communication skills, adaptable, and flexible.
