ORGANIZATION: JFCS of the Suncoast Inc

  • 28 people are interested

When people in our community seek assistance from JFCS their first point of contact is with the agency's intake department. Therefore, Intake staff play a vital role in ensuring those who call JFCS for help are treated with respect, understanding and compassion. Our intake volunteers refer callers to the appropriate JFCS programs and services or to alternate community agencies.

To be an intake volunteer at JFCS is to be there for others at an especially challenging time in their lives. We request our volunteers commit to a minimum of three hours per week. While some sort of social service background is preferred, we will consider all those whose heart and concern prompts interest in this position. Training is provided and a strong support team will always be available to assist you.
