Spanish-Speaking Volunteers: Help translate for donors at blood drives

Use your fluency in Spanish to help Community Blood Center save lives! We are currently seeking volunteers who are fluent in Spanish to assist with translating/interpreting for our Spanish speaking donors at blood centers and mobile blood drives in KC and the surrounding area.
Interpreter Ambassadors will assist a donor throughout the entirety of the donation process and interpret verbal information, as well as translate written documents into Spanish for the donor. Blood drive schedules vary and may take place on weekdays, evenings and/or weekends.
Training and orientation provided, A background check and interpretive skill assessment will be conducted. Minimum age: 16. Volunteers asked to commit to at least one shift/month or at least 12 volunteer hours in a minimum of six months of service. Flexible scheduling available. Interpreter Ambassadors are also welcome and encouraged to assist donors at blood drives that do not involve interpretation.
