Celebrate fall and pumpkins at our annual event. Pumpkins will come alive through your favorite carnival games, crafts, and more. Wear comfortable shoes and be ready for fun! Parents must stay to supervise children. Event is for ages 12 and younger.
Volunteer Impact: Providing a free and safe event to the youth of the community.
Volunteer Duties: Volunteers will assist with setting up event, running games, interacting with children, and cleaning up at the end of the event.
Work Environment: The event will take place in the gyms and classrooms at Barwell Road Community Center. It may be loud in some areas with music and children's laughter. There are restrooms on site,
Volunteer Requirements: All volunteers must be at least 14 years of age. Any volunteer under the age of 16, must have a parent or guardian with them. All volunteers will need to fill out a volunteer release form. Anyone under 18, will need to have their parent or guardian sign this form.
Special Instructions: Volunteers should wear comfortable clothing and tennis shoes. Volunteers should not wear costumes.
Group Registration Information: Registration as a volunteer is first come, first served. If interested in registering as a group, please email mary.owens@raleighnc.gov .
Per department policy, this volunteer opportunity is not to be used towards court-appointed/ suggested community service hours.
