The City of Raleigh Youth Football program will be hosting a canned drive where we will be collecting canned food items from our youth football participants. The goal is to have every parent/athlete donate at least 2 canned food items.
Volunteer Duties: We will need volunteers to direct parents to donate their items in the proper bins as well as keep this area organized throughout the day(s)
Volunteer Shifts: There are two shifts to sign up for:
10/27 - 8:30 am - 11 am
11/03 - 8:30 am - 12 pm
Work Environment: The event will be outside in the Lions Park open area outside of Field #1 or in the Lions Park front parking lot. There is the possibility of uneven ground and a restroom is located on site.
Volunteer Requirements: Volunteers must be at least 16 years old to volunteer. All volunteers must fill out a volunteer release form. Any volunteer under the age of 18, must
Special Instruction: Volunteers will be supplied a shirt.
Group Registration Information: Registration as a volunteer is first come, first served. If interested in registering as a group, please email mary.owens@raleighnc.gov .
Per department policy, this volunteer opportunity is not to be used towards court-appointed/ suggested community service hours.
