Palomacy is a diverse, supportive, positive community of people who rescue pigeons and doves. We were founded in 2007 and are a fiscally sponsored project of Community Initiatives. While we have many volunteers, we need to build our organizational capacity to become sustainable in the long term, and believe one key to this is a greater reach. We are seeking someone with PR expertise in the non-profit/animal rescue arenas to lead a PR push for us. Please review our website: pigeonrescue.org
If you would like to know more, please reply here. The next step would be a meeting with our executive director. Thank-Coo!

Location:
Community Initiatives, 354 Pine Street, Suite 700, San Francisco, CA 94104, US
Mission Statement
Palomacy saves domestic (unreleasable) pigeons and doves that would otherwise be killed in the San Francisco Bay Area. We provide vet care, foster homes and adoptions. Since 2007, Palomacy has rescued more than 800 birds and helped countless others through coaching, education and referral.
Description
Palomacy (a project of Community Initiatives) is a network of volunteers working together to save the lives of domestic, unreleasable pigeons and doves that would otherwise be killed in shelters for lack of adopters. Volunteers respond to calls from shelters, vets, and good samaritans to provide avian vet care for ill or injured birds, long-term foster care, and to develop adopters and place them into qualified forever homes.
