Teen Event-Planning Volunteer

The Carrollton Public Library is putting together an elite team of teen leaders to be a part of our Teen Action Committee. We are looking for volunteer team members between the ages 13-18 to help us plan and execute many of our events here at the library.

As a member of this team, you will learn and refine practical skills like, problem-solving, organizational skills, budgeting, on-the-spot problem-solving as well as managing peer volunteers, all while planning events from scratch for your community! Also, by being on this team, you will be able to count all of your work with the team as volunteer hours and gain valuable experience that you can include in your college applications and resume. We are excited to work with this team to create the best events possible for our patrons and we hope that what you get out of this team is just as beneficial as the service you’ll be giving to your city.

We expect each team member to attend weekly planning & prep meetings on Tuesdays from 5-6pm at the Hebron and Josey Library as well as several of the library events including the Fall Festival and the Harry Potter Yule Ball.
