If this is something you'd like to be a part of, and you find yourself available during any of the times below, don't hesitate to reach out!

Field Trip Check-out Hours:
11 am - 1 pm Tuesday-Friday
10 am - 12 pm Monday & Saturday

The main goal of the program is for people to enjoy the natural beauty of our lovely Garden Island and to get their "dog fix" by taking along one of our shelter dogs on their adventure. The dogs stay happy, healthy, and well-adjusted with this valuable time spent outdoors and participants have fun providing them socialization with a variety of people prior to adoption.

On average, we adopt four dogs a month to visitors who meet the love of their life at our shelter. It’s affordable and we are happy to help with the process!

Volunteers will walk selected dogs from the back kennels to the front desk area. There, we get the dog properly equipped for the day; fitting them for a collar, harness, leash, and the ever so cute, " Adopt Me" vest! We also supply a goodie bag with treats, water, a towel, and other essentials.
