How are Volunteers Utilized?
Volunteers are currently needed to assist with a variety of positions within Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center. We place volunteers throughout the hospital to help support patients, staff, and visitors with non-medical needs.
The Hospital Volunteers will act as a liaison between the nursing staff, patients, and families by providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities may include answering phones, greeting and directing patient and visitors, rounding on appropriate patients and offering non-medical support, inventorying and stocking supplies, cleaning and organizing unit areas, working in the gift shop and other special projects as requested by unit supervisor or volunteer manager.
Volunteer placement will be determined by an interview, which will assess the candidate’s qualifications, interests, availability, and current needs of the hospital.
