Ohio's 3 rd Grade Reading Guarantee program identifies students from kindergarten through 3 rd grade that are behind in reading. MAP provides these students with year-round individual and small group supports to bridge this gap in a safe, supportive and fun community center.
Tutors, Mentors, Group & Club Leaders are needed to help:
- Bring student to reading grade level
- Maintain student reading progress and comprehension
- Ensure 4 th grade student promotion
Please come to our 1-hour recruitment event and learn how you can "give back and pay it forward" one child at a time. Refreshments served.

Description
Established in 2007, the Hardy Center’s mission is to provide inner-city children and their families with the elements they need to be more viable in this society. We believe the children in our community are a variety of rough-cut gems, each with a value all their own. Every day we challenge them with the opportunity to be molded and polished so that their true brilliance can be revealed. We started small with a summer lunch program that served 23 children. But, it did not take long for us to realize that we had barely scratched the surface of need in the community.
