Plant trees for cleaner air and water in Baltimore County!
We are looking for student volunteers and adults who care about the Earth, our watershed, and the Chesapeake Bay! Do you like being outside in nature and don’t mind working hard? Join us, and make a difference for future generations.
Community service learning hours available. Perfect for students, Scout troops, religious affiliation groups, corporate volunteer groups, families, singles and neighbors! Children ages 8 years and up must be accompanied by an adult.
More than 29,000 trees have been planted throughout the Gunpowder Watershed by enthusiastic volunteers over the past 28 years, and we need YOUR help to plant even more!

This event is rain or shine.
What to bring: Remember to wear boots, pants, long sleeve shirt, hat, gloves, and bring rain gear and water bottle. Water jug and a light snack will be provided.

The Gunpowder Valley Conservancy (GVC) is a Baltimore County-based land trust and watershed restoration non-profit that mobilizes people and resources to care for the lands, waters and character of the Gunpowder Watershed.
Description
Get your hands dirty for clean water! GVC needs volunteers like YOU to achieve our vision of healthy lands, healthy waterways, and healthy communities within the Gunpowder Watershed. We work with volunteers of all ages, as well as individuals, families, or groups. Our volunteer opportunities are eligible for community service learning hours.
Join us for a meaningful environmental stewardship activity such as tree planting, tree maintenance (removing invasive plants), or stream clean-up.
